It established on 16th June 2009.That time this summits name was BRIC as South Africa was not member.On 2010, South Africa was got membership.Then this summit's name became BRICS.BRICS summits name also named as R-5 as all 5 countries currency's name started in R letter.

Main purpose of BRICS Summit

 BRICS is the acronym for the powerful group of the world's leading emerging market economies, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The aim of the BRICS mechanism is to promote peace, security, development and cooperation.

Compare GDP of India between 2012 and 2025

India organized BRICS Summit on 2012 at Taj hotel Mumbai..but that time Idia's GDP was  only 1.83 trillion dollar and now it is 4.19 trillion dollar.So on 2012 BRICS member wanted to remove India from membership by replacing INDONESIA due to poor economy growth but now India is 4th highest economy growth in whole world due to  only strong leadership and political stability.

Brics summit is current topic which to be discussed and  updation daily.
